Why are you running for this office?
I am a conservative, proven, fiscally responsible candidate, who loves representing my community.

It is an honor and privilege to be a public servant.

What skillsets and real life experience do you have that makes you the best candidate for the role?
Twenty-eight years of hands on experience, served as chairperson to initiate the first Advanced Life Support and Tax Administration Programs, past member of the Single Waste Hauler and Zoning Board of Appeals. Initiated electronic water and tax payments. Administrate a $33,557, 439.97 Tax Warrant, Responsible for all revenue received, fiscally receiving the highest audit approval available from Plante Moran.
What are the top three issues you are concerned with for your district/municipality?
  1. Keeping the township solvent during this economic downturn, No Tax Increase
  2. Absorbing the rising costs of basic needs, such as, safe roads
  3. Meeting the changing needs of our residents, for a better quality of life.
What are the solutions you will bring forward if elected?
By promoting a positive environment to draw businesses, stimulate job growth, add amenities without tax increases.
What specific measures will you take to maintain low taxes and less expensive, limited government?
The function of local government should be to do for residents, those things that have to be done but can’t be done alone. I will continue to do the following: 1. Reduce the cost of services, not the service, itself. 2. Evaluate join adventures 3 Promote businesses so tax base can be spread on a higher taxable value.
If elected, what will you do to better promote transparency in government?
Open communication via face to face, web site and annual township reports mailed to residents.
Have you received any endorsements?  If so, please list.
Financially, no, I stand on my conservative reputation as a republican, as well as my proven reputation. My constituents have offered, however, I don’t want to feel beholding to any organization or individual.

Why are you a running as a Republican?
The Republican platform represents my philosophy on government, less government. I have always been a Republican.
What prior involvement have you had in the Republican Party or Conservative organizations?
Lifelong Republican, financially contributing to conservative republican candidates, prolife causes, phone calls.
What is your position on Obamacare?
Repeal it.
What is your position on abortion?
I am prolife.
What is your position on the 2nd Amendment?
Americans have a fundamental right to bear arms, with responsibility and registration.
What is your position on public sector unions?
There is little or no checks and balance in negotiations between union and management.

State/County/Local Issues

What are the two biggest issues you feel Macomb County is facing today?
Distribution of taxpayer dollars for roads and maintenance. Slow growth with business and new housing
Do you think Macomb County should have casinos?
While generating jobs and revenue for services, casinos impact families negatively.
What is your position on the Ambassador bridge project?
Encourage businesses and/or anyone effected (transportation and manufacturers) to create an alternate plan. Private spending is more efficient than government spending.
What is your position on special millages like the DIA or Zoo millages?
I frequent both, but they are not a basic need.
