Why are you running for this office?
I believe strong leadership is needed and that I have the vision, motivation, and energy needed to be that leader.
What skillsets and real life experience do you have that makes you the best candidate for the role?
I have 28 years experience in local government and many years as a volunteer in my church, library, parks and recreation and local schools, taking  leadership roles in many activities. Being a strong leader as well my experience makes me the best candidate.
What are the top three issues you are concerned with for your district/municipality?
Declining revenue from property taxes.Unpaved roadsOrdinance review
What are the solutions you will bring forward if elected?
Declining revenue – Continue to adhere to the bid process established by the Board of Trustees, review of the budget to reduce costs where possible, continue to “right size” the staff , and negotiate the best possible contracts for  employer-employee.Unpaved roads – The recently formed road committee has addressed the most urgent projects and in the future, the Township will be able to pave more roads as the budget allows.Ordinance review – The ordinances are currently being reviewed by the Planning Commission. Revisions will need to reflect the current economic climate in the area of mixed uses, all the while protecting the health, safety, and welfare of the residents.
What specific measures will you take to maintain low taxes and less expensive, limited government?

If elected, what will you do to better promote transparency in government?
There is always room for improvement, but Macomb Township has always maintained transparency.
