Why are you running for this office?
To utilize my education and experience to make Clinton Township a business & family friendly place to live and operate.
What skillsets and real life experience do you have that makes you the best candidate for the role?
I have a Bachelors Degree in Accounting and a Masters Degree in Finance both from Walsh College and over 30 years experience in accounting and tax preparation, as well as over 26 years in management as a Corporate Controller and Vice President.
What are the top three issues you are concerned with for your district/municipality?
Keeping taxes as low as possible, providing essential services, and public safety.
What are the solutions you will bring forward if elected?
By achieving low taxes, good public service and public safety, this will attract businesses and families into Clinton Township.
What specific measures will you take to maintain low taxes and less expensive, limited government?
Prudent fiscal decisions in budgeting, staffing and purchasing.  Also, expanding the tax base by reducing businesses and households vacancies.
If elected, what will you do to better promote transparency in government?
Encourage residents to watch the board meetings and to provide their input on issues that affect them.  I would also make myself available to any resident and listen to their concerns.

None at this time.  I have met with Michigan Right to Life and am waiting for their decision.

Why are you a running as a Republican?
 I believe that the core values of the Republican Party are close to my personal beliefs and values.
What prior involvement have you had in the Republican Party or Conservative organizations?
None
What is your position on Obamacare?
It should be repealed and replaced with a new plan.
What is your position on abortion?
Against abortion, I am Pro Life.
What is your position on the 2nd Amendment?
I support the 2nd Amendment, Pro Gun.
What is your position on public sector unions?

What are the two biggest issues you feel Macomb County is facing today?
Jobs and excessive pension costs.
Do you think Macomb County should have casinos?
No.
What is your position on the Ambassador bridge project?
I support it.
What is your position on special millages like the DIA or Zoo millages?
I believe that the DIA and the Zoo should be self-supporting if possible.  If not able to be self-supporting limited help from the community should be used. Culture and education is important to the community.
