Party Issues

Why are you a running as a Republican?
Our party embodies a uniquely American spirit. It is the spirit of independent minds, the conviction that open and honest debate is essential to the freedom we enjoy as Americans. This platform is a testament to that freedom and stands as our promise to future generations that we will do whatever it takes to preserve it. It is grounded on our heartfelt belief that our principles, our policies, and our vision will lead our American family, not just through present dangers, but to a horizon of prosperity and liberty mankind has only begun to explore.
What prior involvement have you had in the Republican Party or Conservative organizations?
I have been involved in many Republican groups for the benefit of the community and the Republican Party and am eagerly looking forward to working with the RCNMC.
What is your position on Obamacare?
It should be repelled.
What is your position on abortion?
I think that abortion should be generally illegal and supports a Constitutional Amendment that would assure preborn humans the right to life .I am  a strong pro-life advocate and is committed to implementing policies to protect the unborn, the medically dependent and disabled, and the elderly.
What is your position on the 2nd Amendment?
We need to open more public land for hunting, no more frivolous gun lawsuits or no gun licensing. We need to protect the right to bear arms.
What is your position on public sector unions?
I think both the right of individuals to voluntarily participate in labor organizations and bargain collectively and the right of states to enact Right-to- Work laws However, the nation’s labor laws should be reorganized to make it easier for employers and employees to plan, execute, and profit together. To protect workers from misuse of their funds, we should conscientiously enforce federal law requiring financial reporting and transparency by labor unions.

State/County/Local Issues

What are the two biggest issues you feel Macomb County is facing today?
With diminishing resources due to decreased property values Macomb County government needs a plan of action to successfully build a healthy business community. We need to create an economic development plan that maximizes the community’s strengths and minimizes its weaknesses to combat the economic struggles and unemployment.
Do you think Macomb County should have casinos?
No, I don’t think casinos are beneficial to our communities.
What is your position on the Ambassador bridge project?
I am in agreement with our Governor Rick Snyder in believing a second expansion of the bridge is beneficial for our economic growth.
What is your position on special millages like the DIA or Zoo millages?
I believe these millages should be offered to the public approval through an election. This revenue has to be accounted for in a separate accounting fund which assures it can only be used for the specified purpose. I would like to allow the voters to choose upon special millages such as the DIA and the Zoo.
